Who is responsible

The operator named in the imprint decides what happens with personal data on this website and can be reached at hello@tollwyn.com.

What this website does not do

tollwyn.com is four static pages with their stylesheet, one font and a few images, all served by the server described below. It sets no cookies, runs no JavaScript, uses no analytics and no tracking pixels, and loads no fonts, scripts or images from anyone else. Opening a page here contacts no server other than the one described below.

What the server records

The web server that answers these pages keeps no access log. It writes only operational messages about itself, such as a start or an error, and those do not identify visitors. Nothing you do on this website is written to a file that names you.

That server is a virtual machine rented from Hetzner Online GmbH and running in Falkenstein, Germany.

Cloudflare, described below, does see every request before it reaches that server, and records it at its edge under its own retention.

Which services process data

  • Cloudflare (United States) sits in front of this website as the edge: it terminates the encrypted connection, answers DNS for tollwyn.com and filters attacks. Every request therefore passes through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address and the request itself.
  • Infomaniak (Switzerland) runs the mailbox hello@tollwyn.com. If you write to us, Infomaniak stores that email and its content on our behalf.
  • Neon (United States) hosts databases of the products. No database is involved in serving this website.
  • Stripe (Ireland and the United States) handles the payments of the products. No payment happens on this website, so Stripe receives nothing from these pages.

Cloudflare, Neon and Stripe are based outside Switzerland, so using them means your data can be processed abroad. Neon and Stripe are named here because they belong to how the studio operates its products. What each product does with your data, and which of these services it uses, is described in that product's own privacy notice, on its own subdomain.

If you write to us

We keep your message and your address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the exchange. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection you may ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to its processing. Write to hello@tollwyn.com and we will answer. If you are not satisfied, you can turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
